Customer Reviews

On behalf of Herbert Hurd Primary School, the Grade 5's would like to thank you on a great outing experience that some of our children have never and will never experience again. This Brought smiles to the faces of all and majority conquered a fear. Facilities are in top order and staff are well aware of safety for the pupils. thank you - Janet Pons. - Head of Outdoor Education. Herbert Hurd Primary School. Port Elizabeth.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sandsledding experience. The pupils say it was their best outing ever. Everything ran smoothly, even the weather cooperated. Thank you so much! - Gay Best - Grade 5 Educator Herbert Hurd Primary School

A really fun experience for all. Starts out with a tranquil cruise along the Sundays river with the guide pointing out various birds along the route. The children (ages 7/8) were allowed to run about (safely) between the lower and upper deck which made it even more fun. When we arrived at the dunes the children helped to anchor the boat. The sand sledding was absolute fun and enjoyed by all in the group age range 7-70 ! The children were allowed to jump off the boat into the river at the end so all in all the excursion was a fantastic adventure for them ! - Immo Benjes 076 600 6625

What an awesome day! We chose to do an experience activity for our 11th wedding anniversary. From the ferry cruise to the sand sledding, it was all perfect!! We will definitely do this again and we also recommend it to all!!! - Gareth Foster

We had the best of times at our River Cruise & Sandsledding! It complimented our Addo safari park experience perfectly (the south entrance of the park is just 10 minutes from where the ferry leaves)! We went with our three kids aged 5 and 3 years and 7 months. It is the perfect family experience. The river cruise was scenic and very relaxing and offered splendid views of the passing landscape. The kids enjoyed it, too. We brought a stroller for the little one with us and since the river runs very calm, it was no problem to have the baby in the stroller (brakes on, of course!). When the dunes come in view it's such a beautiful sight! But the absolute highlight was of course the sand sledding! Since the boat stops right in front of the dunes, there is no long walk. The fun starts immediately! Les and Jeff were great teachers and explained everything very carefully. After one ride with Dad, the kids could ride alone. It is safe and very easy to do! The kids absolutely loved it and thanks to the tireless efforts of Jeff (who dragged the sleds up the dunes again and again for them - thank you so much for that!) they could to several runs! They still talk about the fun they had. Even my littlest one went on a ride on mommy's lap, so it is a real family experience. Once up on the dunes one can enjoy stunning views of the dunes and the ocean. At the end the kids had the opportunity to play in the shallow waters of the river while the little one napped in the stroller on board the ferry. All in all we had an awesome time and I highly recommend this activity for everyone! It's a perfect match to pair with an Addo safari, since it takes only about 2-3hrs and it's so close to the southern park entrance! - Katharina Weiner
