Customer Reviews

Thank you for a most amazing afternoon . What a privilege to be on a boot with a skipper that knows the river and the bird life. We enjoyed every minute of the cruise. Thanks again ...... - Vera Lourens

As always, it’s stunning to be out on the river. We did the sundowner cruise and were blessed with beautiful weather, no wind and a picture perfect sunset! Going up the dunes and sledding down is so much fun, enough to give butterflies in your tummy but still perfectly safe for the children as well. That’s what I like most about this: it’s fun for the whole family! - Meike Lovemore

Our group of seven set sail on the Sunday's River Sunset Cruise on Easter Sunday. It proved to be a wonderful excursion. Our excellent skippers pointed out a number of different species of water birds, before heading to the Alexandria dune fields near the river mouth where we disembarked. The vistas from the top of the dunes were magnificent. Some members of our group descended the dunes in customised sand sleds - by all accounts a thrilling experience. The cruise and the sand sledding are highly recommended. - Carole Veitch 082 480 9574

Our sunset river cruise was amazing. It was so relaxing just to sit and watch the bird life and the scenery on the river banks while Les skippered the ferry and gave us information on the bird life. We then got off the ferry and climbed the dunes which was awesome, my husband did the sand sledging and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sunset was beautiful. So glad we got to experience the Sundays River Sunset Cruise. - Dawn Bonandrini

No higher praise really as our three guests from overseas told me that the sunset cruise was one of the highlights of their month long first visit to SA. Our captain that evening was relatively new to the job but was friendly and enthusiastic. He is a worthy addition to the team. He and his girl friend were very solicitous of our group we we went up the dunes at the entrance to see the sunset and view over the sea to St Croix. Even as a non-birdie I was impressed with the wide range of marine and landbirds we saw along this beautiful river estuary. All in all, a great experience and one which we are already recommending to our friends. Bart Brett - Bart Brett 082 512 9112
